    Description

Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 located in Newberry, Florida.  I have owned this 57 Chevy for about 18 years.  It was a low mileage original 6 cylinder power-glide car when I bought it, but at 59,000 miles I put in a crate 350 and a 700R4 transmission.  The original paint was dull so I had it repainted in the same factory color, Canyon Coral, about 15 years ago.  The car is always garaged, so the paint still looks great...a testament to the fact the car has no rust issues anywhere.  No sheet metal anywhere has been replaced, and that includes the body, floor panels, rockers, trunk floor, etc.  When I bought the car I replaced the suspension parts and upgraded the front brakes to discs.  I have only driven the car about 15,000 miles over the past 18 years.  So, it still rides and drives really nice.  The steering box had more play in it that I liked, so about a year ago a new steering box was purchased from Ecklers Classic Chevy and the steering is now tight, like it was back in 1957.  It is still manual steering.  I bought Crager mags and the raised white letter tires a few years ago because I think they look great, but the buyer will get steel wheels and perfect 57 Chevy spinner hubcaps so the the car can be made to look original again.  (Two of the steel wheels are from an S-10 pickup because the original 57 Chevy wheels will not fit up front with disc brakes.)  I will be glad to answer any questions at eight one 3 seven two 7 eight four seven 6.  Why do I want to sell?  I'm getting older, had 2 heart attacks, and just don't need so much stuff to take care of...my El Camino SS and vintage Triumph motorcycle are already gone.  I will just be content keeping my 55 Chevy because the doctor told me I should be good for at least another 30,000 miles.
This car starts, stops, and runs just like it should.  The headlights, tail lights, brake lights, and turn signals all work correctly, as do the interior lights and the dash lights.  The gas gauge and temp gauge both work fine, and the idiot lights for the oil pressure and water temp work properly as well.  The only thing that doesn't work well is the windshield wiper...it works, but not all that great.   Oh yes, the car has a manual choke (which you don't need here in Florida) instead of an electric choke.  Also, the window flippers both work perfectly.  (So many 2 door hardtops I see have crappy flippers.)
0 deposit via Pay-Pal is due within 24 hours of auction ending.  The balance is due within 7 days.  Balance must be paid in cash when the car is picked up.  If a shipper picks up the car, the balance must be paid via a cashiers check drawn on a major US bank.  Neither the vehicle nor the title will be released until the cashiers check clears my bank.
