The hose wall is impregnated with Carbon Black
Carbon black is a conductive material that helps dissipate the static build up in the hose when dust and debris are flowing through it. Dissipating the static build helps prevent any sort of concentrated charge in the hose. The hose walls are impregnated with carbon black and this provides you with the first line of defense in regards to static build up.
Carbon Steel Wire Helix Coated in Conductive Carbon Black PVC
Most hoses have a coating on the wire which will insulate the wire, but does not allow static to pass to the wire to be grounded. We have corrected this issue by using a carbon steel helix wire that is also coated in Carbon Black PVC. This allows for the static charge to pass to the wire and now can be grounded at both ends. This means that not only will the hose itself help dissipate electrostatic charges, the helix coil will also dissipate charges too!
