Description

this is an exquisite antique handmade Chinese fisherman doll.
It depicts an elder white haired man wearing a very large hat sitting, holding his fresh catch of the day in one hand and a fishing pole in the other.
the hands feet, head, and hat are hand formed and made from a pottery material and hand painted.
he wears textured linen hand sewn clothing with an orange rope belt.
the arms and legs have wire so are able to bend into desired direction.
there is also a wire attached to the feet and wraps underneath his bottom to be able to sit upward.
the piece measures 6 5/8 by 4 1/4 inches without measuring the fishing pole.
in great shape for age, his left foot has a crack in it and a small chip on the fish but otherwise just minimal ware.
wonderful very rare piece.
