  • Condition: Excellent Conditon throughout. These figures each stand 14.5 inches high. The female figure is just a tiny bit taller than her counterpart. The detail is amazing and the quality of the art is superb. I have provided 12 high resolution photos that allow you to zoom in and see every detali of both pieces. There are no maker's mark on either piece. There are no marks on the bottom.

    Description

    Each piece is absolutely beautiful and highly detailed.  The figures weighs just under three pounds (That's each). The condition is excellent for both pieces. The color is Ivory.  The composition is an Ivory colored resin. I had originally thought them to be from the 1970's, but a fellow Ebayer contacted me, and said that her father had purchased an identical set in the 1960's.  I think the brick background in the photos really allows you to see the contrast of each figure, both in color and in shape.  I do hope you zoom in and examine each figure closely.  They are in superb conditon.
    For certain, these figures would represent a privileged class in China.  The elaborate clothing and the woman's hair style are not the look of peasants or of the common working class. They look happy and joyful. The expressions on their faces are that of contentment. They are healthy, young, and have great hope for their future.
