Exquisite 8 1/2” Foo Dog Pair on Black Stands. Condition is "Used"/“PreOwned” and in excellent condition. The black stands show some wear, but are in good condition. This very handsome pair of “Fu” Foo Dogs (Imperial Guardian Lions) measure 8 1/2” (H) X 9” (L) X 5 1/2” (W) and have matching black wooden stands measuring 1 7/8” (H) X 10” (L) X 7 1/2” (W). I have owned these statues for 20+ years and they are in the same condition as the day I bought them. The maker and country of origin are unknown. They are made of a rich dark crimson resin and are appropriate on display in both a professional office, business, den or home environment. Foo Dog pairs represent mates. The male has his foot on a ball, the female on a pup. Not only are they protectors but also auspicious symbols of wealth.
