    Description

High quality U.S made torsion spring.  Made from oil tempered steel and rated at 30,000 cycles.  These will last longer than your standard torsion springs. We have pre-assembled them with both winding and stationary cones. They come complete with a pair of winding bars and a steel center bearing, which is superior to the nylon bushing found in many springs.
When ordering, we will need to know the size of your current spring(s). There are 3 dimensions needed to get you the right spring.
    1.   Wire size or gauge is best determined by measuring the length of 20 coils. . This will give you the wire size. For example if the length of 20 coils is 4-3/8 (4.375), you divide 4.375 by 20 and get a wire size of .218.
    2.   Next is the inside diameter of the spring (not the outside diameter). The most common sizes are 1.75 and 2.
    3.   Finally, measure the length of the spring. Remember, we need only the length of the spring coils, not the entire assembly with the cones. This measurement should be taken after the spring is unwound to be accurate.
If you have any questions, you can e-mail them to us, and we will be happy to assist you.
If you are ordering a single spring, we will need to know the direction of the wind. Note: a left hand wind (LHW) usually is installed on the right side, and vice versa.
Note:  These springs are most likely bigger than your current springs.  This is due to the higher cycle rating of these springs, but will have the same force rating as the specifications of the springs you provide us.
    WARNING
    :
Torsion springs carry a lot of energy and should only be serviced by qualified personnel.
Buyer assumes all risks of injury and damage to property and acknowledges that they are
capable of working with torsion springs.
