    J. Dukehart & Co. ~ Baltimore, MD ~ Fine Fishing Tackle ~ Letterhead ~ 1881
    Offering a J. Dukehart & Co. of Baltimore letter to Henry Hall & Son.  The letter has a sample of hard braided linen line attached, and it is requesting a similar strong line made specifically for Dukehart.  J. Dukehart & Co. was a wholesaler and retailer of fine fishing tackle and was established in 1775.  Some of the ink has smudged on the front of the document.  This is a fine piece of historical tackle paper, which, amazingly, still has the sample line attached.
