CONTROLLER unit.
This controller will work all single wire & high output
2-WIRE
HOLIDAY EXPRESS Limited Edition trains. (fits single and dual wire 380 and ALL 383,384,385,386,387 series Holiday Express trains)
These early 380 2-wire controllers were only made the first few years and were designed to handle 5 amp loads. These are extremely difficult to find because they look identical to the standard later versions. The only way to tell the 2 versions of controllers apart is by running a test on them.
It will control all Holiday Express trains made since day one, all the way up to the brand new ones.
The later 3 amp and 2 amp 384/387 controllers will not send the proper signals to run the early 2-wire trains and the 3 amp controllers tend to burn out more frequently even on the trains they were designed to run. This is truly a universal, high load rated controller and extremely difficult to find.
This controller has been tested
and is in excellent working condition.
