This is a stunning statue sculpture which was made in 60's of last century, Chinese folk art hand carved hard wood, likely be rose red wood, statue figurine.  The depiction of one of the four Chinese home Gods; the symbolic meanings of home safety and good luck.  Carved with wonderful details featuring the golden guard grabbing the beast, has the treasure box on his hand while holding a removable sword.
Measures approximately 12" tall and weighs over 2 lbs .
No major defects, but has a small natural wood hair line at frontal
