Vintage Hotei / Budai / Happy Buddha - Japanese inscription

For sale is a unique Hotei clay / pottery figure in Beautiful Vintage Condition! Believe it is made in Japan. Measures approximately 9" wide x 7" deep x 4.5" tall. Very nicely made. There is an inscription in Japanese on the bottom. Please see photos for details. Purchased at an estate sale of a retired U.S. General in the Washington D.C. area.
