    Description

Vintage Pair of 19th century Fu Foo Dogs are in Pristine Used Condition. These statues are often seen in pairs guarding the entrances to shrines or temples. These animals traditionally represent power, strength and protection. This pair has two relics under either paw, one with a ball or jewel and the other has another creature looking up at it, maybe a dog or smaller offspring. Both statues have a green, brown and yellow glaze with intricate designs on the face, head and down the back. Completely pottery, with embellishments being hand attached and glazed onto the statues. They stand perched on a brown pillar.
Statues are both in Pristine Vintage Condition. They have been stored behind glass for over 50 years that they have been in this household. No chips, cracks, crazing to the glaze or other damages to note.
Measurements: 6.5 inches (17 cm) tall x 2.5 inches (6 cm) wide at the base.
